Getting To Know Town of Palm Beach

The most famous and prosperous place in Palm Beach County today is located on the barrier island, between Lake Worth Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. It is called the Town of Palm Beach. The real estate starts with a price tag in multi-millions of dollars today, except a small studio apartment or hotel room or beach cabana below one million dollars. Life on the island is often called "Paradise." It was called centuries ago by Henry Morrison Flagler. He fell in love with the island and, after connecting St Augustine with South Florida and Keys through his Florida East Coast Railway, returned and continued transforming it into a winter resort. They incorporated it in 1911, fairing it's annexation to the West Palm Beach, and after phone service, Royal Poinciana Hotel and The Breakers were already functioning. Today real estate in Palm Beach is one of the world's priciest, including its upscale shopping districts such as Worth Avenue, Royal Poinciana Plaza, and Royal Poinciana Way Historic District. I love its beautiful sandy beach with easy parking along South Ocean Blvd. The last time I visited Palm Beach, it was a couple of weeks before Christmas looking for gifts, but after checking some prices, I decided to "window shopping" instead :) and enjoyed my time taking photos and videos of Worth Avenue and the midtown area. Palm Beach is home to several museums, historic hotels, and golf clubs, including Mar-a-Lago Club. Many international and country leaders and their families used it as their permanent or vacation home throughout the years, and countless wealthy or famous individuals resided in and out. According to local news, famous Dr. Oz joined the Palm Beach residents list in 2019, while in 2017, there were at least 30 billionaires as per Forbes magazine.
